The Alexander/Hannibal match-up was, I think, a different series in which famous military dudes pitted their heroes against each other.

IIRC Peter de la Billiere was Alexander and Norman Schwarzkopf was Hannibal. PdlB won after NS let his cavalry stray out of command range and thus unable to counter the decisive attack.
Alexander/Hannibal

Does anybody know which show this was??

It's Igornaski!! [:D]
Hah! Shows how much you know, laser brain. That's a pic of Charlie Laughton as my boy Quasi, otherwise known as the Man Who Had a Hunch.

Oopss...the hunchback was who I was thinking of, but my brain grabbed the wrong name. [:D]

I'm sure that in show I watched guy who played as Hannibal /some British general) won and there was no Norman Schwarzkopf. Guy who played as Alexander was also some British dude, I saw him in several other shows on Viasat History (Ceasar&Venicgetorix and Beaudica revoult). I can't remember name of the show, it is 2 years since I watched it...
