Mouse sensitivity

Post by moose1999 »

Is there any way to change the mouse sensitivity in this game?
The cursor behaves overly sensitive.
I tried changing the mouse slider setting, of course, but it has no effect.
Saw a mousesensitivity entry in the system.cfg file, but nothing happened when changing this value either.

So, is it possible to change the mouse sensitivity at all?

And here I thought it was just me!  I at first thought it was my wireless mouse, but that is not the case as my old corded mouse does the same thing.  It is pretty annoying, but I've learned to just live with it.

Is it the mouse that's to sensitive or the camera?

Much love,

It's the mouse. It affects the camera movements too, of course, and the camera is generally bad, but it's definitely the mouse that's too sensitive.
Or something like that. It's difficult to describe exactly. There's some lag there, too. It's difficult to make accurate movements with the cursor and it makes it a pain to play the game.
I've tried to live with it, but found I can't. Just too irritating.
So I've stopped playing and gone back to JA2 1.13 instead.
Here's hoping we'll se an HG 1.13 sometime in the next 5-6 years...! [;)]

What sort of mouse do you use and have you tried updating the drivers for it if it's a wireless mouse that uses special drivers?

It's a Microsoft mouse and it's not wireless.
I haven't had problems like this before, but I'll give it a try with another mouse tomorrow just to see if there's any difference.
It's worth a try.

got the game to run on my laptop finally (dang thing didn't come with any drivers installed ?)

I have very poor mouse control in the game

everything is fine with the game menu, click on play, and then the other menu comes up, and the mouse is very sluggish and HARD to control (so far, this and one of my betas I am working on, are the only two that the Mouse is acting up like this)

64 bit Vista, normal corded optical mouse (been looking to see if a conflick but not found any yet)

Same issues here,the newest update.

Mouse is really laggy and unsensitive the instant the in game menu appears. The initial launch menu is ok.

XP,Logitec dongle mouse, same issue even with the laptops trackpad.

One thing that can be a cause of mouse lag is a system that doesn't have enough power to handle the game. That may or may not be the case here, but I wonder if those with mouse lag could post DxDiag files with their system specs?

Another thing to try is to manually turn off VSync in your driver settings, that may help with mouse issues.
