Supplies and landings.

Would it matter if you were going to land a division... the ships the division was on never had a supplies at all but... they were part of a task force that had more than enough at hand inseparate AK's.

Would it affect the landing?

I would assume that the men on board have ammo for the initial assault on there bodies then could replenish from the AK after the beach is sercure.

Since ships unload troops then supplies this would seem like the way to go.

Definitely have AKs in the TF loaded with supply.  The APs unload troops first, and the troops do not carry supply.  The AKs are needed to supply the assaulting troops.
