RE: Allies retake Tarawa

Post by RUPD3658 »

Looks like extra Jap troops are assisting at Mandalay and have sealed it's fate. When it falls my plan for a long term defense of China goes out the widow.

Close air did not fly against the Burma road due to bad weather

RE: Allies retake Tarawa

Post by RUPD3658 »

A cease fire has been agreed to in India to allow the Jap LCUs to evacuate from Yanam. The Indian nationals want to be nice to their future tech support partners plus the Brits feel like they owe the Axis for allowing the BEF to evacuate at Dunkirk.

Mandalay held but not for much longer.

Chengtu fell so China is down to Chungking, Kunming, and Yunan.

RE: Mandalay falls

Post by RUPD3658 »

More raid by heavies take out about 20 Jap transports. Their presence concerns me since SigInt report para units in the area. I can't figure where they would land since the India invasion troops are withdrawing. Perhaps they are just flying supply to the units closing in on Mychinya

CVs are headed back to PH for their refits. The damaged BBs may have to go to the West coast to spead out the work at the repair yards. My APs also just upgraded and added a ton of AA guns.

Best of all, the Zero bonus has now expired.

Lautem landing force was discovered and attacked by Betties. Hopefully enough troops and supplies made it ashore to take the base.

Myitkyina and Colombo also fell today. Not a good day for the Allies.
