RHS Map Question

Post by sfbaytf »

I went ahead and downloaded and (hopefully) correctly installed the RHS files.

I used the Level 7 installer. I noticed the base icons are offset the actual island and atolls graphics. I've been told this is probably due to an incorrect pwhex.dat file. I ran the pwhex utlility and the icons are still not aligning with the bases. The pwhex.dat file I'm using is dated 1/11/2009 and the pwhex.old file is dated 6/18/2005. I also downloaded the Level 7phhwx.zip and installed that and no lock.

I'm using a 22 inch widescreen nonitor running at 1680x1050 if that makes a difference.

I don't want to start a PBEM game as I've also been told that if the base icons don't properly align with the island graphics I'll run into serious problems.

If your base icons do not line up with locations on the map it means you have a mismatch in scenario and map files. The locations of bases are specified by the locations file in the scenario data base, not the pwhex file. Thus you either do not have the correct map installed or you are not using an RHS level 7 scenario. If you have the correct map, you should see a Madagascar mini-map in the lower left.
