Renaming An Association

Post by Wrathchild »

Is it possible to rename an association simply by renaming the .psa and .psx files?

Wrath,
Changing the file name will not change the Association name. Sorry.

I think all you need to do to rename an association is edit the world table in the association.psa and change the world name field. Then you could rename the .psa and .psx files to match. Of course, backup your association before you try this. I was able to rename an association this way, but I haven't simmed any seasons to see if it sticks or if it causes any problems.

Unfortunately, I don't have any way to edit the .psa database so I won't be able to test the theory.
