Guadalcanal

I'm currently reading James Jones' The Thin Read Line and wonder if there is a Guadalcanal scenario around that is playable vs PO? The one that comes with the game is PBEM only.

There is the 20KM/Hex "Struggle in the South Pacific" by Phil Basford which you can play as the Allies.

available in the Rugged Defense scenario depot, after registration

or in the Games Depot

BTW I've seen the movie The Thin Red Line, a compelling account of this bloody episode in the Pacific War

Thanks Silvanski, I will have a look at the scenario. I really like the movie you mention and that's why I'm reading the book now. I just found out that it was filmed back in 1964. Has anyone seen that one and how would it compare to the modern one?
