Another CL and 4 DDs joined the ready force at Pearl Harbor (see screenie). 15 Pac Flt DDs that upgraded last turn and have around 25 points of system damage each will proceed to Los Angeles to complete repairs. I need the shipyard points at PH for forward repairs of my main units. I am recalling all of the ASW groups that were after the solitary Jap sub West of Oahu. The last 11750 tons of supplies from the Midway convoy will go to PH instead.

Guam is 0/0/8.

S-33 rearmed at Manila and is sailing to patrol off Takao.

Here is a screenie showing the ships still at Manila. I do not seem to be getting anywhere with controlling the damage to the light cruisers...

Supplies are unloading at Manila and the damaged AK Sarangami disbanded with damage 86/86/3. The flood damage of all the injured ships at Manila has gone up.

At Karachi the Dutch AP Speelman loaded 25th Mountain Gun Regt for Kuantan.

Central Pacific and CONUS

Repaired AKs are moving to Mare Island. 5 DDs are headng from Mare Island to PH, while 2 more head to Dutch Harbor from Seattle. A 5 DD ASW task force is heading from PH to Palmyra Island to chase a sub sited off the coast.

PI and China Station

USS New Orleans finally succumbed to damage at Manila. The badly damaged S-41 is heading to Hong Kong for emergency repairs. As you can see from the screenie her Skipper may well need replacing too. S-10, with 10 points of system damage, has disbanded at Hong Kong. S-36 will move from Vigan to the Pescadores to replace S-41.

South East Asia Command

RAF 221 Group is unloading at Singapore. The first elements of SEAC HQ are loading at Colombo for transport to Singapore.

AKs are starting to become available in numbers (at last). I am sending supplies to Anchorage and Dutch from CONUS. A "Steel" AK was taken in hand at Mare Island for conversion to AR and 2 more DDs left Seattle for Anchorage.

4 DDs and 2 5 MSW task forces are going after a new sub contact just to the West of Oahu. I will have to resupply Johnston, Canton, Plamyra and Christmas quickly, but need to sort these subs first...

The Docks at Manila seem to be able to control the flooding of the remaining damaged vessels (see screenie). Edit: Actually, looking back at the last screenie, that's a lie! I must be in propaganda mode.

S-41 is 2 days from Hong Kong and damage is 28/59/0. S-38 is moving from Manila to the Pescadores. S-31, with damage 34/3/0 is proceeding directly to Diamond Harbour.

The final part of SEAC HQ has loaded at Colombo for Singapore.

2 DDs left Seattle for Dutch Harbor. That makes 6 and no others will be sent for now. BB New Mexico (sys 33) is sailing from Pearl Harbor to LA for repairs. My ASW DDs have reached Midway, but have not had any luck yet. They got close thanks to the fact that the air unit has the sub spotted, but this early ASW sucks (from my side anyway). Can anyone who has played this game through to the later years tell me if it improves?

2 AKs are at Cebu taking off more of 120th USN Base Force for transport to Port Moresby where they will continue the work of helaping the Aussies build infrastructure in return for basing concessions. 2,500 tons of supplies have arrived at Manila, with 2,500 more unloading at Bataan.

S-41 (28/59/0) has disbanded at Hong Kong. S-36 (12/0/0) is sailing from her Pescadores patrol to Singapore. S-35 (20/32/0) is leaving her patrol at Takao for Hong Kong and repair. S-39 will move from her defensive duties at Shanghai and head to Takao.

I am surprised Martin has not taken Guam yet. I am wondering whether this is an opportunity or a trap?

10,000 tons of supplies arrived at Umnak Island from Seattle. The sub that has been tormenting my ASW forces East of Oahu seems to have gone elsewhere. My ships will return to port.

2 USN DDs have arrived at Kendari from the China Station. They have disbanded while I try to decide what to do as I have no safe bases in the area that I can fight a war from. I have ground troops due in the next couple of months (see screenie). By the time I can get them to the Far East, what bases will I have left?

4 APs and 2 DDs have left Mare Island for San Diego. They will join 2 APs already there to transport 1st US Cav Div when it arrives in 9 days time. To where is another question... 6 AKs have disbanded in LA to complete the repairs caused by their upgrade. They were moved to free up repair points at Mare Island for Pre-Dreadnought BBs.

Another minelaying task force has left Mare Island for Midway. The sub that has been at Midway has moved off to the East. My 6 DDs have replenished and will follow (see screenie). 3 DDs have completed repairs at Seattle and will cruise to Mare Island.

1st USAAS BF and the planes from Manila have changed destination from Darwin to Rabaul. Rabaul has the airfiled that is closest to operational capabilty and the planes can train with the ANZAC squadron while the US negotiates for bases in the region.

The cripples at Manila are finally improving...

24th Mountain Gun Rgt is unloading at Kuantan. The 25th, which had inadvertently been given orders for the same destination, will now head for Mersing.

S-38 has system damage of 7, but will remain on patrol off the Pescadores.

The report of the expansion of Port Arthur airfield has caused me to look at my defences in the area. Here is a screenie of my current dispositions.
