New LCGs

John Tiller's Campaign Series exemplifies tactical war-gaming at its finest by bringing you the entire collection of TalonSoft's award-winning campaign series. Containing TalonSoft's West Front, East Front, and Rising Sun platoon-level combat series, as well as all of the official add-ons and expansion packs, the Matrix Edition allows players to dictate the events of World War II from the tumultuous beginning to its climatic conclusion. We are working together with original programmer John Tiller to bring you this updated edition.

I'm in the middle of tweaking that scn right now Juggalo. Can you give any insight on the German OOB?

I can't remember...but maybe Utah Beach isn't in this scenario?

A lot of the captured equipment is not included in the game, but I'm in the process of building a Normandy mod-pack to include all these missing weapons.
I also have lists of static weapons for the WNs and StPs.

Anyway, here's a start for 7. Armee:

By the way, I almost have Jim Govostes convinced on buying the CS Matrix version and finally finishing his 12thSS LCG.

I simply told him that company-level panzer HQs are now included....[8D]

Thanks Juggalo. That was way more than I was expecting. Alot of tweaking left to do I see. Thanks again.

Have been away from this forum for over three years and just noticed Juggalo's posting of sept 20 regarding the possibility of Jim Govostes finishing his 12SSPD LCG.  If Jim ever does finish it, and if it is only playable using the Matrix edition of the CS, it will be THE reason why I finally purchase the Matrix version even after shelling out for EVERY previous version put out by Talonsoft and Take-Two.

Hello btam.

Last I heard from Jim he had just purchased JTCS and seemed fairly excited about finally finishing his magnum opus.

However, this was awhile ago and I have not heard from him since.....

I found his e-mail address by googling his name. (I think it was some golf website that he owns.)

I agree I would like to see DGC base on the Pacific Myself as there a lot more done base on the ETO as it is. That does mean I like the Pacific Theater more than the ETO.Its that the Pacific Theater is wofoly under represented in coparison.

I would like to see DGC like the Nomohan incidence 1939 and the Manchuria campaign 1945 plus the Invation of Japan 1945-1946 and many more camapaigns dedicated to this Theater of war as to make this series more balance and representive of WW2 ground war.

So many demands for LCGs... I had always wanted to see more linked campaigns too but actually released were way too few imo, which might be due to the fact that creating a historical LCG is an extreme amount of work... IMO the best way to get a new LCG is to start creating one by yourself. After all, theres a manual available how to make LCGs

Precisely! So much dedicated time is required to do it right.

Well after 3+ years when this thread was first started, my attitude towards scenario design has totally changed!

I'm attempting an uber-realistic Omaha Beach scenario.....took me 6 months just to research OOBs!

Now fighting with the map editor.....damn! Can't put villages on beach hexes.[:@]

Up next is compiling an org after adding some custom weaponry.....and hopefully putting it all together in one awesome package.

Will probably be a total of a year's work when the dust settles.....and all this for Omaha Beach! One of the most well-known battles of WWII!

I'm lovin' it though....[:D]
