Proper 1.05.03 install procedure

What is the proper way to install 1.05.03?

1) Just download it, and install to a new directory...No, that doesn't work, most folders don't show up, game won't run

2) Download it into a folder with a working copy of 1.04.07 and install, updating 1.04.07 to 1.05.03? That does seem to work, but with beta we got some odd results in an ongoing game.

3) Install from CD, download 1.05.03 patch, install over the CD install?

4) Install from CD, download each patch sequentially, install each on top of the previous, ending with the 1.05.03 patch?

What I'm wondering is whether any files need to be updated from the CD which got fixed in a previous patch (say, 1.04.07), but since they didn't change in 1.05.03 it doesn't do a replacement.

The only proper way to install 1.05 is NOT installing it...believe me, expecially if you are playing a pbem game.
Wait for future fixes, the 1.05 patch is completely bugged.
