I work on the BOBII AI so you can take this for what it is worth but it is based on my experience and knowledge of BOBII and other WWII flight sims:

1. BOBII is worlds best "off line" WWII dog fighting sim

2. The BOBII AI is the best WWII dog fighting AI

3. BOBII has the best Dynamic Campaign simulating the BOB

As far as I'm concerned BOBII is the best WWII combat flight sim, bar none. Alongside Falcon 4 it has the best dynamic campaign ever seen in a flight sim. BOBII, Falcon 4 and FSX are the 3 best flight sims ever made imo.

And that's just the beginning for BOBII, because then we have the amazing support you guys provide. Not just the fabulous updates, but the friendly atmosphere on your forums.. Everything about A2A sims is first class

Just wanted to register and thank you guys for this excellent sim. 
 
Was a hard-core simmer years ago, Falcon 4 et al, including the original BOB.  But for whatever reason I hadn't touched a flight sim for years until about a year ago, when I kind of eased myself in with a couple of Thirdwire sims, then jumped to IL2 1946.
 
Modern sims don't really appeal to me anymore, and I need a new computer before I can do Over Flanders Field justice, so I decided to give BOBII a spin.  Bought it, downloaded it, updated it last night and have been having a blast.  Still a lot to learn, but this sim has that undefinable IT, that I think is going to keep me entertained for quite a while.

The game has a learning curve even for the very experienced flight simulation players (100's of features and options with over 200 key commands) so controlling the game takes some time and effort. The features are explained in the Users Manual (located in the BOBII folder in the Docs folder) for the GUI (Graphic User's Interface), options in appendix A, and Keys in Appendix H. You will need to scan and read the User Manual.
 
Take you time as BOBII is more of a hobby (if interested) than a simple game. We like to  think of BOBII as  "The BOB Time Machine" where you can get the closest feeling possible to a real life BOB pilot fighting in the BOB  that any simulation can provide.

Well we now have over 2000 downloads and installs of 2.09 from gamershell (I am not sure about the mirror sights).
 
We are rock solid stable with very few significant issues.
 
Our 2.09 release seems to be the best todate. I hope our players agree.
