When?

RE: When?
I have been awaiting the release since WIF con 1997 and I must admit at times I never thought I would see it come to fruition. I do admit I am not an avid poster and to be honest, only recently registered but I have been a troll browsing the forums for awhile. It will be nice to play again as it has honestly been years since my last game.

RE: When?
I for one can't wait. I've got practically no idea what WiF is, but have been popping into this forum for the past year marveling at the scope.
RE: When?
I too have been following the development of MWiF for years. The scale of the project is daunting, so I totally understand why it is taking the time it is taking. WiF is probably my favourite board game of all time, and I never thought a computer version could do it justice, but Steve's approach seems to be right on target. At the end of the day I hope the mechanics of the computer game are such that I can play it against an opponent via the Internet and it provides the same strategic choices and results as the board game. Making all the bookeeping and record keeping MUCH simpler and not having to devote a whole room of my limited living space to it for a year or more are added bonuses. I don't ever expect the AI to provide much more than a training exercise, so I won't get worked up if the AI is less than perfect. Please just get the basic mechanics right.

RE: When?
Late April, hmmmm, that gives me a couple days to order and have it delivered before I head overseas.
It has been a long time coming, but the level of effort looks like it will be worth the wait.
CWIF was a good start and I played that for hours, so I am sure I will sit down for days at a time trying to remember the strategies and figureing out new ones.
Good luck all

RE: When?
I'll post a request for more beta testers sometime in the next week. Wait for that post and reply at that time.ORIGINAL: MajorDude
How and where do we go to apply for beta-testing please? [:)]
Thank you.

RE: When?
Well I don't know if we should start a countdown or not. If MWiF is released on the latest time schedule we might be in double digit days now. With that said I still would rather wait for a good release than a sloppy scheduled release. Until Steve's next report I guess I will wait anxiously on pins and needles.

Delphi 2007 (Pascal from Borland). There are some routines in assembler from CWIF code that I haven't replaced with Pascal. Taarget OS is Windows XP.ORIGINAL: Pocus
Hi,
I see references to Pascal language. Can I dare ask in which language the game is written?

Tasks for 2009
Finish MWIF product 1 this spring.
Back when I was a product manager, I learned to interpret "this spring" as meaning May 31. Does that sound right?
