What's the OP combat bonus?

The manual states that HQ's with "enough" OP's left will provide a combat bonus for their units; or, if they don't have sufficient OP's, the units are supposed to get a penalty. Does anyone has any idea what these OP levels are and how great is the bonus/penalty?

One of my opponents has noticed his units fighting worse if they had less than 50 OP's on the attack or if they have no OP's on the defence. Is this accurate?

Well, it seems this is either "terra incognita" or "top secret"

So I ran some tests attacking with less than 50 OP's and this is what happens (even at 49 OP's):

a) You get a pretty big random chance to see only part of your squads fighting, even as few as only 50% of them

b) The arty gets a smaller penalty than the squads, and the tanks don't seem to be affected

So, watch out for those OP levels when attacking.
