What scenario are you playing? It's designer probably didn't program the PO. If so programmed, the PO definitely uses attack helicopters.

I'm playing desert storm, fulda 76, but in all scenarios with attack helicopter, the IA make them "rest" for the entire size of the scenario!!, and are PO programmed scenario! (in the game with the patch 30017 the helicopter working!)

Thanks for the reply Curtis,

Well, you seem to be correct. The test run I based my first statement on must have been run on an older version than 3.2. Ok, one more dumb thing the PO does. Perhaps Ralph will be able to address it in 3.4.

It's a confirmed bug, fixed in the next Beta build. I introduced it when fixing the bug that you could select another unit and leave the old unit in airmobile mode. I didn't realize that Elmer also called that routine, so he was taking the unit back out of airborne mode in some scenarios. There isn't a lot of airmobile in Fulda 77, so you aren't missing a whole lot.

BTW, It also allowed me to make some Elmer code better. The Advance mode was calling consolidate(mop_up.) The documentation for mopup didn't match what the routine was doing from where it was called, so I modified it to make Elmer more aggressive. He was setting up more of a defensive pattern.

Thanks,
Ralph

Desert storm has the objectives or airborne units a bit whacked. The first objective for the airborne units are 31 hexes away, but the airborne units have 1 MP (14 when airborne.) Because it's too far away, they're walking, one hex a turn, untiget close enough to fly[8|]. You can probalby either open it in the editor and add a couple of objectives for them, or ask someone else to help out.

I'll talk it over with the team and see if this is happeining with other scenarios, and if I should try to acocunt for this possibility for this patch.

Thanks,
Ralph
