creating mines in solitary scenarios

Guys:

I opened a scenario which in the explanation suggests to put some mines on the way of the enemies.
I have the engineering group but I have NO IDEA how to set up a minefield.
I went through the help, the keyboard, through all the options. NADA!
I searched the Internet but nobody tells how to do it but rather that it's a good thing to do.

Any help?!

Greg,

Right click on the engineer unit. The unit screen will open up and towards the bottom left hand side you will some some command lines in green. Change the one that says clear mines to lay mines in front of unit.

Note that whatever direction your unit is facing is where the mines will be placed. Some units depending on their morale and experience ratings (and other factors like suppression) will have an effect on how quickly the unit can lay down a string of mines. Some units will drop them quickly...others might take a turn or two before you see any work completed.
