Carry Capacity of Aircraft

Post by brucha »

I am unsure of just how to determine the exact number of aircraft you need to purchase for airborne troops. I know of the carrying capacity of a specific aircraft (lets say 228 for a glider), but what is the carrying capacity number for a airborne section? Is it the weight listed in the unit details?

Generally, an infantry unit, including airborne cost the same as the number of men in the unit to carry. So on your aircraft example above, you could carry two 12-man squads (cost 12 each for a total of 24), and a 4 man machinegun (cost 4), or two bazooka teams (2 each for a total of 4).

Ah, thanks Goblin. I have been using the formula of double the unit's men even for weapon teams [:)]
