What becomes of the Burma/Ledo Road Supply Bonus?

Post by Local Yokel »

I see from the view of the AE map of Burma published in the Cathartes-JRCAR AAR thread that there isn't so much as a trail along the route of what became the Ledo Road between Ledo and Myitkyina. I can see the justification for this, given that the first convoy to traverse the Ledo Road only did so in January 1945. But what, in AE, then becomes of the 500 point daily supply bonus Yunnan would receive as per section 14.9 of the manual:

"For the Allies, if a rail/highway/road/trail path free of Japanese units between Yunan and Ledo or between Yunan and Rangoon can be traced, than each day, 500 supply points per turn are added to Yunan."

Presumably the original Burma Road connection to China is treated as severed if the Japanese get astride the routes up the Irrawaddy and Sittang valleys. Is that enough to prevent the daily supply bonus arriving in Yunnan?

It is basically the same, can't recall but there are two bases, that if held by the allies, get supply to China.

Thanks, Rob. Probably means it still makes sense for the Japanese to go to Myitkyina.
