Mods

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

Are there any sound mods available or in the works. I always turn game music off but, I always leave the game sounds in because I like the flavour it usually adds to play. I do, however, have an issue, albiet a minor one, with one of the sounds in this game.

Am I the only one who finds that weak @ss "Charge" call given every round of combat to be damned irritating? It sounds pathetic. You know, like the guy smokes 3 packs of Camels a day and can't breathe. I mean, Grandpa Simpson has more verve in his voice than this guy.

I'm not computer savvy enough to do my own mods yet but would like to know if anyone is working on some mods for the game.

[:D] The "charge" guy has blown vocal cords-or something. You are only the third guy (including me) to mention this anoying aspect of the game-that I have noticed. Apparently, most everyone does not have an issue with it. I typically turn off/mute sounds because of that irritating voice. Very soon after the game was released, I commented that that guy had to go-I have not change my mind.

What would be cool, and not too hard for someone who knows how to do it, would be something like the HPS Squad Battles system has. Every nationality has their own 'Rally' voices in their native tongue. If I knew how to import that I would do it. I like the battle sounds for most games but, this "Charge" guy has got to go.

There is a new graphics mod by JMass posted at Ageod. I have not tried it myself yet, but if it has the same impact as his mod for GI, it would be well worth the effort to get it.

If it were not for my current puter problems, I would have installed it by now.
