Standardization(PBEM DOC)

Post by Jack »

I am hoping the forum administrators read this post. What I would like to see is a document that is standard for PBEMer's. That all you do is fill in the blanks (send it) to your opponent. What slot you have open, and what all the preferences are set to, points ect, ect. This document should be a blank and downloadable from the opponents wanted section.
I know there are more qualified people than me who could produce such a document, that us PBEM’s would use and send to our opponents just to speed up the process of starting a game, without delays that could have been avoided if the proper information was passed. Thanks in advance.

I do not think I need to fill paper of all before playing.

We just need to agree my Opponent and me on the rules and the game start.

:D

Do not understand me wrong I like order.
But this is just a game.

Thanks for your support Jess.
All the games I play is just for fun the same as everyone else. But there are times when you forget to include the slots you have open, and your opponent will send you his purchase for the start of the game and low and behold it is on another save game slot. Same with preference. Did you ever play a game you assumed cc was off only to start turn 1 and it is on? You have to do a bit of scramballing.
That's all I guess. How's your map of Berlin coming?

Just for thinking I wouldn't read your post I'm not going too I'm going to play selective thread reading and yours is out. If someone creates such a documnet I will be more than happy to post in in DAR/AAR sub-forum with a yellow sticky so it's always on top. If I get a chance I'll try to come up with something this weekend unless somebody beats me to it. Aren't you glad I'm not reading your post.;) :p

Hi Tankhead,
The standard stuff in preferences. But also what slot is being used or what slot you have open, nationality, Date and what version, eg 7.1 or H2H. Ideally it should all fit on an 8.5 by 11. Any quirks for example some guys like to put a percentage limit(spending) on artillery.
