Thanks Mobius !!!

Questions (as usual) [;)] ...

1 ... I thought you said his Stug was an "A" model ?
2 ... I thought you said there was no HEAT available ?

EDIT : Or is this just a general StugB replacement ?

Sorry (in advance) for anything I misunderstood.

Thanks,

Rob

1. I said that because the book says it is an A model. Then looking at the photo it doesn't have a side hull escape hatch between the first and second jack roller. So that would make it a B model. As it has A & B style wheels.

2. The book has Wittmann only using AP ammo. If the HEAT were effective he should have used it. I have Spielberger's book on Sturmgeshutz and it lists typical ammo fired by the 75mm/L24 and Gr.38 HI (HEAT) as one of the types. But this was not very effective early in the war.

Ahhhh ... yes ... I see the new penetration value of HEAT (5) for the new gun file 75mm/L24 StuK. The stock 75mm/L24 had 8.

So, basically we can replace the stock IIIB with this and be done? ... or do you think we need a later IIIB model pointing at the stock 75mm/L24 with the better HEAT?

Thanks,

Rob
