I just got through playing this one as the Germans and in one sitting! Very intense scenario! This is a 'what if' scenario - what if the British armour on its way to Arnhem was able to maneuver instead of being forced to use that one narrow roadway between Nijmegen and Arnhem.

Steel your nerves for this one, especially if you play the Germans as I did. The British seemingly never run out of Sherman Vs and the AI is not afraid to close them to point blank range to take out your Tigers and Panthers. The British also have massive artillery barrages, dug in AT guns (be careful and use lots of infantry support - don't send your panzers down those streets alone, they may not come back!) and the one you'll fear the most - Typhoons!

The Germans have adequate artillery support - two 120mm mortars and two Hummels. They also have two flakpanzers - position them well! And all the panzers in this scenario are either Panthers or Tigers.

The British advanced well and took all but one set of Victory Hexes (the set in the upper right hand corner) and held them up until the last turn when the Germans were able to advance and capture them all. Lots of vicious street fighting and tank duels at point blank range (adjacent and sometimes in the same hex!)

I enjoyed this one, thanks for pointing it out Spunkmeyer. I'll have to replay it soon as the British, but first I'm going to watch A Bridge Too Far on DVD.
