Noobie questions

Post by erict »

Ok I just started playing this game so I'm full of questions. This is my first Civil War game so I really have no idea what I'm doing. Ok first question.

What is the best way to use Grant? As AC or fill him up with infantry? For Union who are the best TCs?

Players use him as a corps commander until he has enough CP to be an AC. He is never used as a TC.

TC is an evolving issue. Do the math: multiply a candidate's (rank/4) (his admin/6) (his CP/20) and see who of the candidates that have 11 CP or greater has the greatest number. That number corresponds to his likelihood to get initiative to help your AC get initiatve. The south pretty soon has three four star generals, something the Union doesn't get without spend the PPs to promote somebody.

Initiative is the most important concept to master in the game.
