I am testing: "Spratley Island Scrap"

I'ave a single DG heading for 'Northern Patrol Area', I notice there are 3 Helios on board.

I would like to create a formation to put 1 helio to south of ship as ECM watch dog. So I launch one -- drag to create a formation/group and edit.

Is this the 'RIGHT - METHOD'??

I create a 'GENERAL EXCLUSION ZONE' around RED-base
and Create a Ship Recon Area for ORION (the GE-Zone is within it)
ORION detects a PLAN Ship at RED-Base and continues to attempt to ID it and thus JAMS at ZONE EDGE!

That is exactly the way I would do it if I were in your situation. Bravo. You found a solution while just using a demo. [8D]

Navigation is currently a major problem in ANW. There are already several reported instances of problems like this:

Planes jammed against Nav Zone

Planes are unable to plot path around Nav Zone.
