how do you throw grenades

I cannot seem to find a way to make my mercs throw grenades. When I set them up to do it, they just expended a couple AP and do nothing.

when it is in your hand, click the nade, your cuser should turn into a cross hair, move that were you want to throw and click (range is not always too great, plus the aim point is just a idea, the nade will roll, will miss)

Aim little bit in front of your target, as HS wrote, grenade will roll a little bit (depend on terrain how much).

Depending on strength, I think each merc has a different throwing range and they won't even throw beyond that range. It looks to me like when the crosshairs are dimly flashing that means that the range is too far and my mercs just refuse to throw. Although you can fire a rifle when the crosshairs are flashing with a reduced chance to hit, so I don't really know. At close range gernades are much better than a burst. Seem to always get a kill, sometimes two.

Hold the ctrl button when your merc is holding the grenade then target the area you wish to throw the grenade. If the cursor is flashing that means it is too far for them to throw the grenade.
