Need Help!! No Nomad.

Post by heenanc »

I'm having trouble evacuating troops from Homan in China. I tried to take the base but then realized it probably wasn't going to happen so went for a complete withdraw. First I tried marching 110th Division to Hsinyang with all to follow. Then as it didn't work I tried to march to different hexes with all to follow but still no luck. After that I used another divisions to see if they would be followed but that never worked. Lastly I tried to get them all to move out as individual units but I've just watched the turn and none of them have moved an inch.

A first I though they would come round and listen to commands but now I feel that if they don't move soon it could destroy my whole game all that time and effort gone to waste.

I know that enemy bombardment stop movements but this isn't happening the chinese haven't done anything at all not since I moved into the hex. So the question is why aren't they moving?

Do you control all of the rail hexes to the east to Kaifeng?  If so, try moving your mob there.

I don't think it's a railway issue but have a look at this and let me know if you can see anything...

Try sending them to Kaifeng. Just one or two at a time. More than once I have noticed if I try to send too many troops down the road in China they just sit there and eat rice. Once one moves to the hex SE of Honan, leave it there so Nomad wont cut you off. After they get to that hex, move them one at a time to where you want them. Eventually, they will all be moving, mostly in a big happy stack.

I suspect you're trying to move to the Kaifeng hex, not to the Kaifeng base. If you don't click on the base, the game engine won't realise you're serious and won't let you move there. It's working as designed![:D]

I agree, and I should have been more specific about moving to the Kaifeng base. This has been changed in AE, which would allow a move to a IJ controlled hex.
