Heavy industry in australia and India

I am playing CHS 155.
What do I have to do to ensure heavy industry in Australia, India, and Aden are producing effectively? What do they need that local sources are not producing?
What do I have to do to get heavy industry working in new conquered cities such as Saigon or Bangkok?
All advice appreciated.

Depends on the status of captured HI factories in Malaya, Thailand etc ...

But -
Australia
shortfall of Oil 1890-600 = 1290/day
edit Res[ small shortfall of 35/day]

India
Oil 2250-540 = 1710/day Oil
Res Ok

Aden 100 HI to start with repairs set to 500 for HI and Oil.
So depends on how many are repaired but at start 100 Oil/Day and 100 Res/Day.. The surplus can go to India.

I can answer some of this Matt. I have yet to reconquer Singapore or take Bangkok, so I can't address that part...

Australia is short of oil, so you'll want to ship that in. In the early going, it helps a lot to suck as much oil as possible out of the DEI, using a forward base such as Darwin or Perth as a temporary storage facility.

Aden has plenty of oil but few resources, while India is pretty much the opposite. I use my smaller British tankers to ship oil from Aden to Bombay, Karachi, Calcutta and Madras. Chittagong is a good supply of resources for Aden, though it replenishes slowly so I collect them when I can where I can by loading the supply TFs with resources on their return to Aden. It's not so important to send resources to Aden since it produces so much in the way of supply anyway, but I hate to see wartime industry idle.

I even ship oil from LA to SF, Portland and Seattle and resources from Portland to LA in order to maximize US industrial production. Overkill, but still satisfying...

Click on Aden on the map and then look at the numbers of HI/RES/OIL building to determine what is needed...then extrapolate.

Each HI needs one Oil and one Res per HI factory... you need to determine the amount of days it will take to load/unload and ship from Point A to B.

Or use Tracker and it can tell you the same details, but not the shipping times, Bohdi's Util can do this.

A quicky, in CHS you need to ship res from India to Aden and oil from Aden to India. India needs considerable more oil than Aden needs resources.
