Panzerbefehlswagen III - Command tank

Post by Mraah »

Jason,

Howdy ... long time no post [:)].

Ok, I'm not an OOB expert but ... In the other forum a member brought up the PzBefWg III and I began to think (oh no) ...

Was there any thought about changing the Command Vehicles (leader units) for Armored Platoons/battalions etc, to add the PzBefWg?

Looking at it, it's just a IIIF or E (I dunno) with just an MG for armament.

Is it worth adding this in to replace the command vehicles we have now ... ie, replace our leader vehicles with this ?

I can see this being a major PITA because the game doesn't "upgrade" leader units [:(].

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Actually, there was a PzBefWg IV which retained the main gun, and other command vehicles (variants of earlier panzers, SPW 250s etc). There was an unsolicited proposal for a command variant of the Pz V.

But it did exist.[8D]
