Depending on the dection level of the base the aircraft are flying from you either get a general direction OR a line from the base (if the DL is high enough).

Cheers

i take it there are no more 'darwin expands to AF5' announcements then?

Yes, there are...,but I believe it only goes to the owning side. At least I see all the messages of that nature that effect bases I own---but none concerning my opponants. I find it usefull...

that is how it should be. If I want to know how big your airbase is, I need to fly over it with a recon plane.

If the allies now rush into the Marina's, Solomons or even the DEI, without supressing al the Japanese AF in range, with NO ubercap anymore, imagine wat devastation now can be wrought upon them from surrounding airbases....[X(][X(][X(][X(][X(]

How about bases that have been captured? Does the side that lost the base continue to see it as the size it was when they lost it?

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: wild_Willie2

Hi threre.
I was wondering if the FOW in AE includes the removal of the little red "airstrike incomming from" lines...

If you need to recon a base in AE befor you know how many AC are there, then logic dictates that these little red annoyances should also be removed. Maybe replacing them with a "fan" type incoming strike direction indicator would be much more realistic. Ofcourse this "Fan" type indicator would include a random +/- direction of homebase ofset modifier of 0-20 or so degrees to simulate FOW....

This was my old "pet peeve"... [:)]

I asked this last year and the WitP-AE team responded that this was eliminated and that just small tail remains (i.e. no more AWACS precision lines of orign)! [:)] [&o][&o][&o]

Well I have a feeling I would be happy with the results. Conversely, I can see KB rarely leaving port in AE as well... [X(]
