Vista64

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Is anyone here running Vista64 and Advanced Economy without any issues? If so, post your computer specs!

if you could, please retell the issues you are seeing, I can't find the post

I got a 64 bit Vista and it is running find for me

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800@2.00 GHz
4 GB ram

64 bit

was the issue scrolling ? I got to go right to the edge to make it scroll, but thought that was the idea ?

over all, I not seeing anything, opened/closed provinces, click on province and scrolled around, fought some Quick combat and HW combat

(I know Hired Gun is giving me mouse issues and slow game play, CoGEE is not)

My issue is quite a bit of lag between mouse clicks. Give me a sec and I'll make a video of what I'm seeing. I'll post it in the thread at tech support too.

Our specs are very similar, what vid card/driver version you got? If you're running smooth with V64 its gotta be something software wise.

Mobile Intel(R) 965 express chipset family

7.14.10.1437

off chance, do you have a attached mouse and a mouse pad ? could there be a conflick between the two ??

When a province is not selected and moving the mouse between two provinces there appears to be some sort of data refreshing going on. When a province is selected and moving the mouse between two provinces once again there appears to be data refreshing even though this data is not shown to the screen (possible optimization here).  When moving the mouse inside just one province I am not seeing any lag.

Btw it would be nice if we could set the scroll speed, on my machine it is too fast.

Ok guys, might have solved this. I have 2 mice in my device manager. HID-compliant mouse and my Microsoft Optical Trackball. I disabled the HID compliant mouse and reloaded COG with Advanced Economy. I am happy to report that the lag is IMPROVED but NOT ELIMINATED. For me, at least, it is moderately playable with small annoyances rather than totally unplayable. Going to try disbaling the other mouse and enabling HID-compliant mouse to see if I get anything different. Will report back if hings change.

Yeah, thats what I'm getting too. Leave the mouse in one province no problem. Start clicking stuff and moving around, slows to a crawl.

I am working on optimizing this for the first update.  I'm not exactly sure why it is so slow on some systems, but with a little code optimization we can circumvent the calculations that seem to be causing the slowdowns on some machines.
