Italian Aircraft

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Italian Aircraft

Post by madflava13 »

Just trying to kill some time until this beauty is released... IIRC, the G.55 was a great aircraft in the old version - I used to re-tool factories to produce it and used it throughout Europe. What italian aircraft are going to be the best in the new version? Anyone have any thoughts? Also, any tips on defending Italy/Adriatic region? I always used to have problems with that area in the old game...

G.55 and Re.2005 are still good a/c. Defending Italy will always be hard with limited resources. The best you can hope for is the occasional ambush to keep your opponent (human) on their toes, against the AI it will be somewhat easier.

I agree with Von Shagmeister, the G55 and Re205 (thought it is the 205.... is 2005 a type?) are the top of the crop for Italy I believe.

I used to love the G55. I cannot wait for this to be released.

the 205 is a upgraded 202 (both of which were very good aircraft)

the 2005 and 55 are both series 5 models (which the 205 is also, but as a upgrade) and are very, very good

there is a G.56, which could of/would of been a monster but was never able to be built in any numbers, I have added that, but it is a very late war model

I don't believe there was any stopping a player in the old version from producing many many more of any given type. Aside from standard re-tooling delays, have any other speed bumps been put into place?

I prefer being able to focus the Luftwaffe into a few specialized models - I hope that's still possible...

basicly, if it can be built, it will be built, up to the limits of factories and supplies

some planes have added costs to them

I would need more info, but from what I see, it looks like pipe dream, looks way too fast for one Jumo, and a poor design, looks like the pre war design, that only hit about 270 Mph :P

:P

but to be honest, we don't have the Art, or the stats or time line to work with to start with
