Troops that where Transported are empty

Post by gazfun »

Hi Marshall
sorry to bother you with this but one of my players has had a bug problem where ships being transported were empty when it came to disembarking them to leghorn.
This is his post to us "Sorry guys - major problem:

My inf and cav corps sailed by british fleets to Leghorn this month have been emptied. They were both full totalling 15 inf and 5 cav (40MP, 120$).

This has a major impact on the game. Any suggestions how to fix this ?

Story is, it is the corps I landed in Portugal, expected to walk to Cadiz, but doublet corps appeared on the british ships, in Morocco. They triggered the removal of the copies that had walked to Sevilla.
This month they appeared to still be on board the british ships, so I sailed them to Leghorn. Here I disembark them, but they are empty."
If we could get those troops landed there it would be helpful, this pbem game has been going 16 months now so would make everyone happy if you could do one of you magic tricks [:)]
I dont know why Austria is having problems all the time.

Thanks Garry

Garry:

Tell me a little more about what needs to be done:
What corps moved where?
What forces should it have?

Thank you

The Austrian Troops that are in Great Britians Ships which where loaned to Austria, are landing Austrian Troops in Leghorn, when you unload them they have no troops in them.
The Austrian Infantry Corps unloading in Leghorn should have 15i and 1c in it and the Austrian Cavalry Corps should have 4c in it.
As you can see they dont have any troops in them at all, when they unload.
All is needed to be done is to increase the troops value to reach the above totals again for each respective Corps in Leghorn once they have been unloaded.

So is this bug been fixed in the patch 1.05.05?  If so, I cant use it, as our Group has a no beta policy on patches.

Not sure how this happened???
I would likely need your game at the naval phase where the troops are loaded to see what happened.
Are you sure they did not stay on the transport too long? This would starve them.

In september they invaded in Portugal from the british fleets.
In october they marched to Sevilla and the fleets sailed to Morocco - only there where dublets still onboard the fleets.
If the fleets where onloaded the original corps in Sevilla disappeared . So they where not unloaded (The copies on the fleets where supposed to die this way - They where not empty by then).
In november the original corps in Sevilla was gone and the fleets where still shown as carrying corps. Hoping to just unload them and bring them back this way, the british fleets sailed to Leghorn. But when unloaded they where empty.

So the original bug was, when unloading from loaned fleets, copies remains on board till the next month. They do not starve in this situation. Keeping the copies onboard next month again, romves the originals from there position, but keeps the copies on board, only this time they are emptied. In short - a mess !

Don't know what you can make out of this, Marshall. I just want the corps back in shape, so the game can continue...
