Help, please!

Hi, Playing head to head, Germany vs UK & France, 1 Feb.'40. Germany has conquered Poland & is ready to start the campaign in the West by invading Denmark. Germany has declared war on Denmark.

In the North Sea sea area, Germany has an amphib with an Inf embarked, in a fleet with 8 cruisers, etc. Went to hexes around Copenhagen & clicked unload invasion icon, AOK.

Then, the Allied fleets decend on the German North Sea fleet, including the amphib & wips them all out. No landing occurs.

Iunderstand I can only invade Copenhagen from the North Sea.

OK, in this game how can it be done? Help, please.

The island of Zealand has hexes on the Baltic, and while Copenhagen is neutral, or in Axis hands, the RN cannot get to the Baltic sea zone.  Your attack transport from the Baltic can assault without interception, unless you are already at war with the Soviets.

Chuck-I'm still having problems with this. Let me tell you what I have done, then perhaps you can see a way out.

Put Phib unit with Inf. embarked at Rostock. Waited until next turn, then hit a hex in Zealand, bringing up amphibous unload icon. When I hit that icon, the following message was displayed at the very top of screen:"invasion impossible, don't have phib unit in North sea area, or unit has moved."

Went to next turn, moved phib unit into Baltic sea area & went to next turn. Hit phib unload icon, same message as above, "no invasion possible."

The game will not let me invade from the Baltic. If I go through the North sea, Allies wipe out German forces, including amphib.

There must be a way for me to invade Copenhagen from the Baltic, but how?
