Backorders

Post by milesjb »

Have backorders started shipping yet?
My son-in-law and I are anxious to get a PBEM game going. I have had my copy for several weeks but he's waiting for his.

I don't know ... but over the past few days I've sent several
e-mails asking about the backorders ... they've been ignored.
I'd hate to do it but I'm getting close to cancelling my order
and getting another game from HPS.

Anyway ... maybe I'll have an answer when I get home this
evening.

We had an order "spike" associated with our appearance at origins that threw our well planned "just in time" restock into a tizzy.

We are expecting to be restocked shortly and should start shipping backordered games next week.

If you have not gotten an email reply, we appologize, we have a lot going on - we are working hard on a number of fronts, and sometimes it takes a couple days to catch up on the emails.

We encourage folks to use the help desk and NOT emails to inquire about orders. We work through the help desk first and don;t always get to the emails.

Help us help you by using the recommended means of communications! (ie help desk for anything related to ordering and shipping and the forum for game play and technical questions. Email should be a "last resort".

Thanks!

Paul,

Thanks for the information. I'll start using the Help
Desk. You guys may want to think about adding this
information to the "contact us" link on the e-store
page.

I currently have Bulge 44 but I was looking at either

While Fulda Gap is a good game and I would recommend it in general, it's not in the same league as Uncommon Valor. If you have to pick between UV and Fulda Gap, go with UV!

Guess it would depend on how long he has to wait for UV on backorder and how bad he needs a new game. I know sometimes I can't stand waiting for a new game and have to have something. That is how I bought most of the turkeys I have owned.

But really you are right - UV all the way!:)

Well ... it's been on backorder for about 2 weeks now. The
thing that gets me is that I paid extra for 2 day delivery. So
... if it ships next week it will be paying extra for 3 weeks + 2
day delivery. I'm not faulting matrix ... I should have paid more
attention when I placed the order.

Anyway ... from everything I've been reading here ... I'll stick it out
until it shows up at my door. If I decide to get Fulda Gap it will
just be extra :) :)

I feel your pain, folks. I'm only playing UV because someone said on this forum that they were selling their copy on Half.Com. 20 minutes later, I was there and grabbed it.
I love it when a plan comes together.

JIT is JIT, man (use correct PR / Cuban pronounciation).

Just in Time inventory is ususally not.
Last time I checked, the forums were messed up. ;)

Wow, if I see that, I'll be there in a second for a b/u copy. My disk is starting to get scratched and the UV game disk is copy protected :(
