Watchtower 2009

Post by junk2drive »

I haven't played much SPWAW the last few years so I'm a little rusty. I decided to play the Watchtower Mega with Enh 2009.

SNLF squads are kicking my butt. Is this normal?

I move one hex, various types of hexes with trees, buildings, etc for cover, bang. I bump into a squad and start losing men. A couple to this and that and almost always one to the 50mm mortar. By the time I eliminate the enemy, I end up with 1 or 2 men left in each squad.

I haver never played that one but Japan is a tough opponent,  especially that early in the war.

Not sure if using enhanced helps them or not.

Thanks Alby. I was hoping the resident Pacific fighter would chime in. That's why here instead of the other places.

Maybe I'm supposed to lose a bunch of units to take the objectives. If not, I can tweak the prefs.

WB's intro states Fast Arty on. A recent post found that arty was less effective with FA on so I left it off. It doesn't seem to help my 60mm mortars but the JA 90s and 81s sure hurt.
