LCU's are not under players control they are removed automatically.

You cannot stop them leaving and they will leave from any base its all automatic.

Thanks Andy. That will make things much easier to manage for LCU's. Marching units out of the jungle just to withraw them would be a headache . . .

And having that critical unit holding your defence together suddenly dissappear wont be a headache???

Not really complaining Andy, just aware that many decisions are a compromise....

Maybe WITP II will have a "light" at the bottom corner of the LCU that will warn the player of a pending withdrawal date?

The withdraw date is indicated on the unit so why would you put a unit that is about to be withdrawn in a critical defense?

From what I can gather, you are told in three places (four if you include decoder) when a unit withdraws; one of which is its screen. Its a set date, doesnt change.

So I dont see this ever happening. You would know months/years ahead of schedule that the unit is leaving on such and such date.

Air units you get bonus PPs for pulling them out early. Probably the same for naval and land units also, but frankly I havent tried with them.

Hi John, this is a bit OT, but ...

A nice young man on the main forum asked for a Dutch ship, and I had one in my personal pile that I sent. I remembered this thread and thought it a bit unfair that I asked you to wait for your request. So, I do have a Britannic in the box, and can pretty easily do her up in her hospital colors from War I. So if you send me a pm, with your email address, I'll get her to you in all 3 versions.

Ciao. John

sweet mother of......

They are beautiful....I can't wait to sink one :)

I know they did not make it to the pacific....let alone ww2....and based on the fact that once they start to leak they sink real quick probably not that seaworthy....

Thanks a million John.

I would love to see you guys do up a complete WW1 set of all navy's .... then get matrix to sell it to geeks like me....

On the subject of Dutchmen, will Oranje be included? I always thought Nieuw Amsterdam a particularly attractive liner, but so far as I can tell she only made it as far as Aden after the outbreak of the Pacific war, so I suppose there's no pretext for including her. Pity.
