Northern Australia, 8/24/22

Post by Rysyonok »

Japanese clearly want to establish a firm foothold in Australia. I am pulling all available forces to Wyndham to stop it.

I already have 696 assault value points there with 530 more on the way in the next 2 weeks. There are 225 more on the way from Tasmania - a month - and up to 310 can be pulled from New Zealand. But tapping all of this means emptying out the rest of the continent.

I got 4 Indian brigades in 3 weeks, I may need to shift those south.

East New Guinea, 9/14/22

Post by Rysyonok »

Japanese have a very firm hold on Port Moresby, and the best I can hope for is blockading the area. I doubt that I'll be able to retake it.

Dutch forces will attempt to fortify near Madang, far north of Port Moresby; Australian and British forces will develop and hold Thursday Island base, one directly west of Port Moresby. That way I will be able to control both supply paths from Port Moresby to Japan. Eventually, I intend to organize my capital ships, with RN being responsible for this theater. Right now it's a mix and match: I got new dreadnoughts and old Dutch hulks here alike, not to mention prowling French cruisers.

Casualties of Thursday Island campaign

Post by Rysyonok »

Here are losses through 9/19/22 - due to minor technical difficulties I don't have the 9/20/22 turn yet.

What's missing is BB Mishima that capsized that night, SS No. 14 and a USN DD that sunk during retreat.
