One of the things i used to enjoy about ja2 et al was all the free gear you could get for taking sectors. Aside from the initial zone, and its large, if immediately useless piles of obscure ammo. I have been unable to capture any goodies that havent dropped of of enemy troopers.

Im quite sure i know how to operate the mousehotkeys, to force grab and whatnot. I just cant seem to find a box, or crate, or shelf.. whathaveyou, that will allow me to open it.

Is this not an active feature throughout the game? Having seen them open in the first map i had assumed it continued.

Please advise.
