Lend Lease for British-Egypt

Post by Chocolino »

Does anybody know if the UK can still receive lend lease from the American if his only remaining ports are in North Africa while Gibraltar is in Axis hands? I hope not ....

I have never checked on this specific case, but I would expect not. If I recall the lend-lease event correctly, it establishes an ability to ship PPs. There is then a second set of events that establish convoys. The AI sets them up to the UK (Southampton??) and USSR (Archangel) separately, for example. A human could presumably choose other ports. However, no convoys can run through the Strait of Gibraltar without owning Gibraltar (as I found out when I mistakenly tried to set up a German supply convoy from Occupied France in one of my early efforts and was forced to watch the Afrika Korps run out of gas).
