Unable to commit guard in 1.5.04 -Is this a known bug?

I just discovered in the worst moment ever (a big crucial battle in Paris with ~ 150 factors involved per side)
that I cannot commit the Prussian guard (I am GB, leading a coalition against France, Prussian Guard has been loaned
to GB under Wellington command).

We are playing a loong pbm game with an official patches only policy, so that we are still running 1.05.04,
is that a known bug?

I saw this in 1.05.04, and reported it to Mantis, where it was listed as fixed. Then I thought I saw it again in 1.05.05, but it was pointed out to me that, having installed a new version, guard commitment, which is an option, is automatically turned off. So all I had to do was turn it back on.

Since I was already at 1.05.05, I wasn't able to check whether that would in fact have solved the problem in 1.05.04 also, or whether that was really a bug.

Check Mantis Issue 276. I encountered a weird issue with multiple guard corps being present, this is probably related.

It's listed as fixed in 1.06 (albeit by limiting which guard can be committed).

Yeah, it appears that you can (as of 1.06) only commit your own guard.  That is in itself a bug.
