Carrier Air Wing Question - No Greasylake please

Big B 1.4, 4 January 1944

My CV's at PH upgraded their air wings partially.

The VF all went to 40 F6F-3.
The VS disappeared for those ships that had them
The VB remain but are at 18 SBD (vice the 34 plane VB they are supposed to be)

The squadron size for the VB is 18, i.e., it is not a lack of airframes to fill in they are that small.

So is my problem that they are not upgraded to SB2C? The Manual says VB: 34 SB2C.

or am I being impatient and the problem will self correct in a few days?

or do I have a game bug?

It probably depends on the mod... you might try checking with the editor.

do you have your divebombers set to "allow replacements"

If yes, and nothing is happening after a few turns, it might be a mod problem.

You need to have "allow replacements" set like it was mentioned above. You need the magic 20k in supplies.The other issues that "may" need to be is within range of a Command HQ. If you have moved Central Pacific HQ forward that may be the problem if the other two areas don't get your squadrons to expand and fill up.

I will PM Canoerebel I guess. He is playig the same mod. They are sitting in PH with like 600 K supplies and not only CentPac but 5th Fleet present. Will wait a few more turns. CV Bunkerhill at SF has completed its upgrade but CV Lexington II sitting in the next birth has not. Maybe I need to be more patient. All the ships have 40 F6F-3 onboard

We are at 8 January and still no joy. Grr. I guess I will just transfer Marine VMSB units on if need be
