glory penalty

don't know if I've run into some sort of game feature possibly not properly working in this case or a general bug but as France I'm getting 4 times -40 glory penalty points per round

I suppose this may be due to the mutual defense treaties I've concluded with russia, turkey, prussia and spain which are all at war with austria, austria having surrendered to me earlier in the game so that I cannot declare war on them according to the enforced peace

Should this be the case I'm not sure if I like this logic [:)]

In a few cases I've had that happen here's what been the culprit:
 
Having a unit in a minor territory I promised to respect the neutrality of.  Late in the game after making so many treaties I can forget who I promised what… and accidently move a unit into a neutral minor country I promised to respect.
It would be nice if the "The Default on Treaty -40" would at least specify the treaty.  It would be nicer if it reported the actually violation.

For the forthcoming patch we have fixed a bug in regard to this penalty, and lowered some of the treaty default penalties as well.

well, the game giving some hint about what actually causes the glory penalty to happen would be helpful. I had the 4 times glory penalty removed after the war between austria and the countries I have treaties with ended. But now, two turns later, a penalty has returned and I have absolutely no idea what's the cause. Its a bit annoying.

I have had the same problem and had no treaties to violate. It is a bug. My only solution aftr going over -1000 glory loss was to restart the scenario.According to the bug forum, glory is being removed from the wrong party.
