Trade "costs"

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Trade "costs"

Post by jhdeerslayer »

I know that each Trade costs a certain amount of money based on the distance. I have yet to be able to figure out how much that is or where to find it. Any advice? I checked the manual but so far missing it.

I've been looking for that myself in the Manual and can't find it.  I recall a discussion many moons ago that it was one money per province or sea zone, but I may be mistaken.  Maybe Eric or Gil know for sure.

bjmorgan,

I don't believe its in the manual but I have heard that same figure before.  Either in these forums or perhaps in the video tutorials?!

It could have been in the old Cog forums, I guess.  I don't think it would have been changed, but maybe somebody smarter then me has the answers.

Trade routes no longer have a cost; we dropped these late in development as being needlessly complicated.  (I hope the manual does not describe costs for trade routes.)

Well, maybe that's why I can't find it.  But, it's good to know.  Now I can propose mucho trade again.
