RE: OT - WWII quiz
49) Which is the only unit to have fought at Normandy, Arnhem, Aachen, the Huertgen Forest, in the Ardennes offensive, at the Reichswald and in the Ruhr Pocket?
Well I'd say it has to be a German Falschirmjaeger unit. Normandy/Ardennes are definites. Arnhem as well if you are talking about the corridor and initial defense against XXX Corps, Huertegen I'm not sure about but I think there were para units fed into this meat grinder. Possibly the units from Huertegen were rebuilt quickly and used for Ardennes? Reichswald not a clue. Ruhr Pocket....well most German units ended up in there apart from those in the north gainst Monty.
I could go and look at my German OOB book but I'll guess
....6th Parachute Rgt/ 3 Falschirm Div.

Your explanation of the two Reichswald did not explain which one you were referring to in your question.ORIGINAL: Mad Russian
ORIGINAL: micheljq
At first, it looks as a western allies unit, but they did not fight at the Reichswald (same thing as Reichtag?).
I am trying : La Legion Charlemagne.
49) The Reichswald is a section of the Siegfried Line just to the east of Nijmegen, Holland. The Reichswald is in Berlin. They are not the same.
But in answer to your question it is not La Legion Charlemagne.
Good Hunting.
MR
German 116th Infantry?
That's because there aren't two Reichswalds...One is the Reichswald and the other is the Reichstag is a building in Berlin. They are not the same. I changed my earlier answer to reflect that.
Whichever nation it belongs to it's not an infantry unit.

31: Either the Japanese O-I Super Heavy tank (120t, 3 turrets), while it was experimental, one was shipped to Manchuria where it is unknown if it became operational, or more likely, the German Tiger II (69.8t), 487 built.
