7.0 to 7.1 download difficulties

Can anybody advise me on upgrading from SPW@Wv.7.0 to 7.1?
I downloaded the 7.1 upgrade and seemed to successfully unzip it, but when I go into the game it still shows 7.0. I'm desparate to correct a problem I've been having with scenarios I've created that lock up after several turns with a message on the screen about "waiting for all players to sync." Can anybody help me with these two matters? Thank you very much!

After the file is unzipped it reveils and executable program to run, you have to run the program, when doing so during the installation path verification check you need to remove the space between Matrix Games(MatrixGames) or the patch won't be properly applied.

The auto install program which comes with last versions, is setting as default for the install, a folder named "matrix (space) games/...." , while the previous versions are installed in a folder named "matrixgames" with no space between. So what you need to do is, when asked if you want to install in the default folder, to just remove manually the space between "Matrix" and Games"; then go ahead normally.
This should do the trick (I hope).
