Hmm...

Does this mean no more CC from Matrix games ? (I was hoping they would redo CC5 and then make CC6)....

Peter,

No change to our plans. As far as I know while Atomic may return to CC in the future, they are presently working on a historical shooter.

Yea, there is stink rising because the game is about Faluja battle in Iraq. Apparently some feel it is in bad taste to have a game about Iraq war at this point in time. Don't see why myself because if it was a book or movie they would not complain at all. Games can be a teaching tool too.

One thing I found interesting on the Atomic site is that the game is partially funded by the CIA.

Atomic is headquartered in Raleigh, NC, one of the world's leading cities for video game development. We're a privately held corporation that is owned by employees and investors, including In-Q-Tel, a private venture capital firm funded by the United States Central Intelligence Agency.

Well, I think a lot depends on how seriously they treat the subject matter...and since Konami has no history of doing any games on serious subject matter, a lot of the uproar is coming up because of that.

I really wish that Atomic would re-release the V4V/W@W games in a huge package. I would eat that up. Still the best operational wargames to this day.
