ASW/Subs: SS Sturgeon is sunk after she receives 5 direct hits during two different attacks. This brings the total to six. [:)]

Borneo: 12 Zero rise up to intercept the 7 Brewster escorting 9 Martins at Kuching. 1 Brewster is shot down. The CAP is increased to 80% for the next day. A BB TF is formed at Saigon to hit Singkawang as recon shows the base may have moved in more planes. Martins from Tarakan do not get any hits on my transport that are now less than a day away.

Luzon: 77 Zero escort 27 Betty & 52 Sally to bomb the AF at Manila. 16 P-40E Warhawk are found on CAP. Fighter losses are 3 Zero to 11 Warhawks. The AF gets minor damages. Clark Field is visited by the Luzon based force of 7 Zero and 61 Lily which get airbase hits 6, airbase supply hits 2, and runway hits 21.

Malaya: 26 Blenheim hit my troops headed from Johore Bahru while my LRCAP of Oscars fails to shoot down any of them in the the two attacks. My Sallys fail to hit Singapore for the second day in a row even though they had a daitai of Zeros assigned as escorts. They are switched over to port attack next turn.

Celebes: Mini-KB and the CVEs join the SC TF at Kendari as the first of three tanker TF arrive with over 50k in fuel. Troops, supplies, and more fuel (over 150k total) will be coming into my new eastern SRA operations hub. 12 Oscars and 27 Zero are flying CAP while the base continues to repair damage. The AF will be repaired by the end next turn and the port in another 3 to 4 days.

Note: The first of three daitia of Claudes at Shanghai will upgrade to Zeros next turn. Afterwards, the Claudes on the CVLs and CVEs at Kendari will get Zeros upgrades while the base continues to expand. The troops on Malaya will arrive at Johore Bahru tomorrow or the day after and push them into Singapore while three mixed brigades reduce the four trapped brigades at Malacca. Three more field artillery will unload at Kota Bharu and join the forces in the siege at Singapore. PP are being spent to get the last of the tank rgt, engineers, and construction units out of Manchuria and then PP will be spent in Japan to get troops freed up for Lae invasion. KB will shepard the transports for Milne Bay that are leaving Truk. IMO, I think Milne Bay is a cheap way to close off (or at least make it expensive) Port Moresby from re-supply or reinforcements. The base starts off as Port 0(3) and AF 0(3). Kates and Bettys will be based there by the end of January.

Unless your opponent has reinforced Lae, a weak infantry battalion is all that holds the base. You can take it with a SNLF or NavGd if you have bomber support and/or run a few bombardment missions.

ASW/Subs: My ASW capable ships are back to normal...cannot hit anything. About 180 miles to the east of Manado, a group of transport with plenty of escort run over SS Sculpin. Three different attacks ends up with both sides missing.

Burma: Bangkok is attacked by 11 Wellingtons from Moulmein and then 9 Blenheims from Rangoon. I lose 3 planes to 1 Allied plane. Oscars that have repaired after being upgraded from Nates are ordered into the air for tomorrow.

Malaya: Singapore's port is hit by 27 Zero escorting 142 Sally. I lose 2 Sally and a recon plane while Stuart left some capital ships in port too long. [:D] CL Danae get hit by 5 x 250kg AP bombs while DD Thanet get 1 x 250kg AP bomb and both are left with heavy damage. [:D] On the ground losses are 251 casualties reported, guns lost 9, and vehicles lost 2 with the port getting hits 10, fuel hits 3, and supply hits 1. Stuart has evacuated Johore Bahru and my troops will take it next turn and await the 3 x field artillery unloading at Kota Bharu before crossing over. The Aviation rgt will come down and allow close air support. The Zero daitai at Kuching will escort the Nells there on Naval Attack/Port Attack tomorrow so regardless of what he does with his ships at Singapore, I win!

Borneo: The transport arrive at Tarakan and are met by 4 x T.IVa and then 6 Brewster and 6 Martin which are able to brush aside the 2 Pete on CAP. Thankfully, nothing is hit. But I have seen those Dutch TBs become lethal once their experience levels get high enough. My BB TF of 2BB, CA, 2CL, and 4DD destroy 5 aircraft and get 42 runway hits. A deliberate attack is scheduled for tomorrow.

Luzon: My port attack on Manila does not happen, but we hope for better luck tomorrow. Taytay falls to my mobile NLF which is immediately reloaded to continue base grabbing.

China: The first of the guerrillas in northern China surrender and the others will be rounded up and shot in due time. [;)]

ASW/Subs: SS Thresher put a torpedo into a PG on ASW patrol at Palau. She disbands, but her sister fail to take out their pound of flesh on the offender. I-158 puts a torpedo into DD Thracian just south of Palembang as she tries to escape from Singapore.

Burma: At Bangkok, 3 Nate & 8 Oscar rise up to attack 12 Wellington III shooting down one.

Malaya: Singapore sees 16 Oscar do a sweep and kill 3 of 7 Buffalo. [:)] 30 Blenheim in two separate attacks hit my troops at Johore Bahru while 15 Sally and 29 Lily hit the trapped Indian Brigade at Malacca. 16 Zero escort 39 Nell from Kuching and easily brush aside 5 Buffalo to put 5 x 800kg AP bombs into the already damaged CL Danae in Singapore. Malacca has its forts reduced a level to 2 while three subs are seen off shore. A Shock Attack is ordered for tomorrow and LB from Georgetown will hit the troops. The AF at Kota Bharu is emptied as the Aviation Rgt heads down the RR to Johore Bharu which feel to the victorious Japanese Army. Those planes will rest and get their morale up for the final push into Singapore.

Formosa: Takao is visited by 20 Curtis H81-3A doing a strafing run. two of them are lost to two planes on the ground.

Luzon:
Manila - If you cannot sink the Allied subs while they are at sea, try another approach. Torpedoes and 800kg AP bombs seem to do the trick. [:D]

Borneo: Tarakan is captured!! The three units surrender (1358 casualties and 12 guns) along with T.IVa: 3 destroyed; Martin 166: 1 destroyed; Brewster 339D: 2 destroyed; and Do 24K-2: 1 destroyed. However, the base's damage is moderate 49/37/29 and the "dice gods" have some sort of grudge against me: Oil (73) x 27 and Resources (294) x 306.

Screen shot: Multiple TF head for Kendari to refuel and then pick up escorts to complete the conquest of Timor and the rest of the Celebes. Thus, closing the escape route for anything leaving from Java for Australia.

Borneo: On a moonless night (at least that is how I imagined it [:D]), the highly skills sailors of the Imperial Japanese Navy (BB Nagato, CA Atago & Takao, CL Isuzu, and 3 DDs) pay a visit to Singkawang. They destroy 7 fighters, 3 TB, and 2 LB. 572 casualties, Airbase hits 30, Airbase supply hits 15, Runway hits 120, Port hits 1, and Port supply hits 1 are added to the carnage as the ships head NE towards the relative safety of Saigon as morning approaches. An AP is hit by a Martin from Balikpapan during the third strike of the day at Tarakan. An Ocsar chutai is moved in in response while the engineers work OT to repair the AF

Indo-China: Some brave Chinese pilots come for a visit to Haiphong (21 x I-153c & 10 SB-2c) which do no damage. This will be allow to carry on for a few more days while recently upgraded fighters repair farther away. Then, target practice!!

Luzon: The Luzon based air force hits Clark Field (7 Zero & 79 Lily - 1 lost) hit the AF. Damage is slight, but the important stats are Airbase supply hits 5 & Runway hits 36. 6 and then 12 B-17s from Cagayan bomb my troops there. Puerto Princesa falls to a NLF.

China: 2 more guerrilla units are wiped out in northern China. Only one is left to face a full division and independent brigade. The local bookies are not taking any bets. [:D]

Malaya: Three Japanese mixed brigades shock attack at Malacca (Japanese max assault: 1530 - adjusted assault: 1029 vs Allied max defense: 200 - adjusted defense: 281). The results are Japanese assault odds: 3 to 1 (fort level 2) reduces fortifications to 0. Tomorrow should see four brigades marched into POW camps.[:)]

ASW/Subs: SS Tautog is operating off the port of Osaka and a 6 ship ASW TF stirs up the waters, but doesn't get any direct hits. SS Seadragon and then Swordfish each get one direct hit from two separate ASW TF 120 miles east of Formosa. Hopefully, they head back to Manila where my bombers will finish them off. [:D]

Indo-China: Another day, another visit to Haiphong by 21 I-153c and 6 SB-2c. No damage to me and no losses by him. I hear rumors that a Zero daitai on the way to Burma may pay a visit here.

Luzon: Clark Field sees the daily attack by the Luzon based Zero and Lily. Damage is minor, but keeps the allied engineers busy and eats away at their supplies. San Jose falls to a NLF.
Manila sees the main aerial event of the day. [8D] I don't care how an Allied sub is sunk, just as long as it is!!

Borneo: The daily Martin raid to Tarakan has my Oscars and Petes make one or two ineffective passes at them and then lets them try to hit the ships. Thankfully, their aim is lousy and no ships are hit.

Malaya: The main ground event of the day took place here. Malacca falls to the Imperial Japanese Army and 13306 new POWs from the 12, 15, 28, and SSVF Brigades after 6:1 odds. I hope this will mean the siege of Singapore will be shortened.

SRA: Wada and Morotai fall to two NLFs that are being used to take minor bases.


The conquest of Timor has been launched. A transport TF from Kendari leaves with a strong SCTF for Koepang while mini-KB leaves to the east. For some strange reason, the transports and SCTF can take the direct route, while the AI in it's "infinite wisdom" has the CVs leaving port to the east and going around Lautem before reaching Koepang. [8|][&:] Meanwhile, two transport TF will soon pass Manado and head for Lautem and Dili. They will be joined by a SCTF from Ambonia and my CVEs from Kendari after that base gets over 20k supplies and allows the 5 Claudes on CVE Hosho to get Zeros. The SC TF is strong enough to deal with the Americans if they are hiding at Darwin and want to come out and play.

ASW/Subs: SS Narwhal was patrolling 60 nautical miles SW of Tokyo Bay for one day too long as 3 Shimushu Class PCs and 2 DDs from northern Japan had moved down to attack this sub. They got one direct hit and sent her back to Manila. Meanwhile, S-39 hit an AP once as a transport TF heading from Tarakan to Brunei to pick up the two naval Guard LCUs for another invasion. The AP was able to disband in Tarakan after wards. I-16 along with another I-boat are patrolling 600 miles due east of Aukland with I-16 when CL Trenton is hit by 1 x torpedo.

Burma: Bangkok sees two raids. In the first 8 x Oscar as CAP vs 11 x Wellington sees 1 Oscar lost. During the second raid, 7 x Oscar go against some Flying Tigers (22 x Curtis H81-3A) escorting 7 x Blenheim with 4 Oscars being loss. Oscars vs. Flying Tigers is not a winning position. [:(]

Luzon: Clark Field sees 69 X Lily with the AF getting light damage.

Solomons: A Chutai of Nells are on training runs on the 2 Allied LCUs stuck on the trails 60 miles from Rabaul. As a novice Japanese player, I've been told its never to early to start your pilot training program. The experienced pilots were left with the Nells/Bettys at Kwajalein.

Timor: Koepang's AF is hit by 49 x Kate escorted by 9 x Zero operating off shore. The AF is hit 32 times. The conquest of Timor should be done in about a weeks time.

China: Amoy sees a sweep of 18 Curtis H81-3A. There are no fighters on CAP. [;)]

Philippines: 20 B-17D Fortress hit my troops at Clark Field in two small attacks. From Jolo, another Chutai, this one of Claudes, hits the 3rd Constabulary Regiment at Zamboanga. This will probably continue for weeks to come. Roxas is captured by one of my roving NLF.

Timor: 3 Betty from Kendari put 1 torpedo in an AK found off the southern coast of this island. In the afternoon phase, the full weight of mini-KB is taken out on this AK. [X(]

Malaya: Singapore is visited by 37 Nell escorted by 21 Zero from Kuching and poor CL Danae gets 2 more 800kg bombs to keep her glued to the bottom of the port. [:)]

ASW/Subs: One of two ASW TF in transit from Formosa to Celebes area runs over SS Shark in the Sula sea and gets one direct hit. I-166 is not hit by an Allied ASW TF off southern Sumatra. SS Tautog is not hit by a Japanese ASW TF operating off of Osaka. RO-34 operating at Soerabaja get three near misses from an ASW TF that raises the system damage to 11 and causes her to head for her home port (DL increases when sys damage is 10 or above). I aged a few extra days when SS Pike misses CVL Shoho just off Manado as she was heading for Kendari. Thank you defective American torpedoes!![:D]

Burma: Bangkok is visited again by 12 Wellington III where 10 Oscar rise up to meet them and shoot down one. 20 Nells from Saigon hit and sink 2 AKs at Rangoon without suffering any losses.

Philippines: Clark Field gets 13 B-17D Fortress from Cagayan again. [8|]

Malaya: Weather clears enough over Johure Bahru to allow my strike to hit Singapore. [:)] 52 Oscar escort 80 Sally and 35 Lily where they are met by 9 Buffalo and 6 P-40E Warhawk. 3 Oscars are lost while 20 enemy planes are lost in the air and on the ground. Damage is moderate - airbase hits 14, airbase supply hits 4, and runway hits 72 (considering I'm getting use to the Japanese vs Allied bombers hit rate [:D]).

Timor: 1BB, 4CA, 1CL, and 10DD lay to waste Koepang in a naval bombardment as the troops start to unload.

China: One guerrilla unit surrenders to a division and brigade operating in northern China.

Indo-China: My 6 Oscars flying CAP over Haiphong are unable to shoot down the Chinese - 2 I-153c and 6 SB-2c.

Burma: Rahaeng sees the Flying Tigers. 24 Curtis H81-3A escort 8 Blenheim IV and do no damage.

Malaya: Singapore's skies are empty as 30 Oscar find no opposition while conducting a sweep. 30 Oscar escort 75 Sally and 32 Lily to hit the AF at Singapore. 7 planes are destroyed on the ground with 82 hits on the AF total.

Philippines: 14 B-17D Fortress hit my troops at Clark Field in two separate attacks.

Malaya: Singapore has the AF hit again. 59 Oscar escort 75 Sally and 36 Lily. None are lost to flak while only one Blenheim I is destroyed. The damage done is 82 hits total.

Philippines: Manila is put back on the targets list. Manila is visited by 8 Zeros escorting 7 Nell (another Chutai on pilot training missions) and 72 Lily. Only 15 hits total (airbase, supply, and runway).

Solomons Area: A Chutai of Claudes and Nell are each continuing their training 60 miles into the jungle next to Rabaul. Gasmata falls after a Fast Tarnsport moved a NLF from Rabaul there.

China: The final guerrilla LCUs in the swamps west of Sochow are eliminated. Thus, the guerrillas in northern China have now been eliminated and more serious operations can commence.

Timor: Koepang falls with 13:1 odds, but the base is heavily damaged (see screen shot).

New Guinea (western): Sorong is captured to a NLF.

Screen Shot: There are multiple transports around Timor with mini-KB near Koepang and the 2 CVEs over near Lautem. Kendari is now over 20k in supplies and the CVL will have their Claudes upgraded to Zeros when they return to port.

ASW/Subs: SS KXVIII sinks an AP 60 miles NE of Kendari bringing in a combat command of the 4th Division. This convoy was hit twice in two days. ASW TF were dispatched to find and hopefully kill a sub. I usually get one hit and send them back for repairs only. [:(] I-26 hits an empty AP that was heading from Pearl towards the northern Panama shipping channel. I have four subs over there to stir up trouble. SS Argonaut misses my invasion transports (headed for Milne Bay) 120 miles due south of Rabaul in the morning, but hits an AK later in the day sending her back to Rabaul. Of course, my ASW ships miss her. [:(]

Timor: Landings at Dili and Lautem with Lautem falling to the overwhelming Japanese forces (2 NLF and Engineer Rgt).

Solomons Area: KB flies over the Owens Mtn range to hit Port Moresby. 18 A6M2 Zero escort 100 D3A Val and 61
B5N Kate to find only 12 Wirraway as CAP. 4 Vals are lost to flak and 6 planes are lost for the Allies. The AF gets only 41 hits total.

China: Stuart sends the highly valued Chinese Air Force from Wuchow to Canton. 21 Nates as CAP intercepts 15 I-16c escorting 9 SB-2c with 3 I-16s shot down and a Topsy lost on the ground. He got 7 hits total.

Burma: Rangoon sees a sweep of 3 daitai of Zeros. [:)] 65 Zeros vs 20 Curtis H81-3A leads to 6 Zero lost for 10 Flying Tigers. Not a good enough exchange rate for the Japanese, but I need to wipe out his elite fighters in this theater.

Malaya: My "milk runs" continue to hit Singapore. 60 Ki-43-Ic Oscar escort 78 Ki-21 Sally and 35 Ki-48 Lily. there is no longer any more fighter opposition and 3 Blenheim I are destroyed along with 91 hit total (airbase, supply, and runway).

Borneo: Tarakan sees the Dutch LBA pay a visit. 2 F1M2 Pete and 10 Ki-43-Ic Oscar rise as CAP to face 7 CW-21B Demon and 8 Martin 166 with a demon shot down. 6 hits are made on the AF.

Philippines: A major raid hits the port and AF at Manila against no opposition. 27 A6M2 Zero escort in 27 G3M Nell, 80 G4M1 Betty, and 102 Ki-21 Sally. I receive damage from flak, but no losses.

ASW/Subs: S-36 puts 3 torpedoes into APD-33 (one of my highly appreciated ASW ships) and sinks her 60 miles SE of Manado. Of course, her sister ships fail to get a direct hit on S-36. [:@] My luck continues as RO-67 sinks from 2 direct hits by Aussie ASW MSW 60 miles SW of Port Moresby. SS Grayling hits AO Iro with 1 torpedo as she was in transit from Palau back to Nagasaki.

China: Canton is visited by 14 I-16c escorting 9 SB-2c with 21 Ki-27 Nate providing CAP. 5 I-16c are destroyed. [:D]

Malaya: Singapore's "milk run" sees another 60 hits on the AF.

Borneo: Tarakan was reinforced by 12 A6M2 Zero to augment 2 F1M2 Pete and 6 Ki-43-Ic Oscar on CAP. 2 of 5 CW-21B Demon and 1 of 3 Martin 166 are shot down.

Philippines: Manila has a reduced force of 8 A6M2 Zero escort in 6 G3M Nell and 40 Ki-48 Lily from San Fernado. 14 hits are made on the AF. Ormac falls to 1 of 2 roving NLF in the archipelago.

Solomons Area: KB sends in a full daitai of Zeros (27) to sweep away the 10 Wirraway. But only 1 Wirra-coffin is shot down. [&:] In the PM air phase, Port Moresby has only 10 A6M2 Zero escort in 74 D3A Val and 95 B5N Kate vs 3
Wirraway. A Val and Kate are lost while 5 Wirraway, 3 Catalina I, and 1 Hudson I are destroyed. The AF is hurt a little bite more (Airbase hits 8, Airbase supply hits 4, and Runway hits 73). I need this base closed down as my transports continue to advance on Milne Bay.

Burma: The 55th Division at Moulmein is hit by three separate ground attacks - 6 Blenheim IV; 9 Wellington III, and 14 Buffalo I.

Timor: Dili falls today to complete the conquest of Timor. Now to build it up for the eventual invasion of northern Australia.

ASW/Subs: My ASW TF of 2 PC & 4 PG operating 60 miles SW of Palua miss SS Thresher. Meanwhile, SS Triton is 60 miles SW of Truk and my ASW TF there cannot hit her either. This ASW warfare, is starting to get frustrating.

Indo-China: Haiphong has only 6 of 12 Ki-43-Ic Oscar rise up as CAP to face off against 19 I-153c escorting 9 SB-2c. No losses are inflicted on either side.

Burma: Tavoy sees a strafing run made by 24 Curtis H81-3A (no losses). At Moulmein, 1 Ki-46-II Dinah on a recon mission is shot down by 11 Hurricane IIb on CAP (I will do some foreshadowing here [;)]). Then 18 A6M2 Zero on LRCAP intercept 5 Hurricane IIb escorting 6 Blenheim IV. 1 bomber is shot down. Next, the 13 remaining A6M2 Zero face off vs 14 Buffalo I on ground attack and destroy 7. [:)] Finally, 33 Ki-21 Sally come in without their escorts and face the 11 Hurricane IIb. Thankfully, there are no losses.

Malaya: The "milk runs" over Singapore are briefly interrupted. 62 Ki-43-Ic Oscar escort 81 Ki-21 Sally and 35 Ki-48 Lily and are meet by 8 P-40E Warhawk on CAP. I lose 5 planes to only 2. The AF gets 2 Airbase hits and 65 Runway hits.

Philippines: San Fernando has no CAP over the base and I see those nasty 4e bombers (28 B-17D Fortress) from Cagayan hit the AF and destroy 1 Lily.

Solomons Area: A daitai of Zeros from KB are placed on Naval Attack at 100' to hit the 4 PT boats at Port Moresby. All 4 are hit by strafing, but only one got a bomb hit and was sunk. A third day of attacks on Port Moresby by KB sees Port Moresby 15 A6M2 Zero escort 93 D3A Val and 94 B5N Kate vs 4 Wirra-coffins. 7 planes are loss in A2A and on the ground while the AF gets 50 hits total.

Sumatra: Two separate flights of Ms Nell from Kuching get some pay back from yesterday sinking of an APD off Manado. ASW/Subs: SS KXI is underneath when the SC TF from Singkawang runs over her 60 miles NW of Kuching with no damage done to either side. SS Sculpin is missed by my ASW TF 60 miles due east of Kendari. I have 2 ASW TF operating off the east side of this base. SS Argonaut gets attacked by 8 DDs from KB operating 120 miles SW of Milne Bay and receives 1 direct hit. RO-33 gets 1 direct hit (damage 30/55) while in Darwin harbor from Assie MSW and heads back to Palau.

Philippines: Manila sees the Luzon bases LBA of 8 Zero, 9 Nell, and 36 Lily do only 7 hits on the AF.

ASW/Subs: SS Sculpin is still operating off the east coast of Kendari when a large TF of transports runs over it. Both sides fail to get any hits. Meanwhile, SS Triton continues to operate just to the SW of Truk and my ASW TF continues to miss her during the night time. During the daylight hours, SS Triton hits and sinks a PC. [:(]

Solomons Area: Milne Bay is added to the Japanese real estate market.

Burma: Moulmein - The place of mixed emotions
1) The AM air phase sees two flights of 4 x Wellington III each hit the 33rd and 55th Division. The 33rd had joined the 55th the day before. Casualties are light.
2) Damn Zero fighter's union!! 69 Ki-21 Sally and 10 Ki-49 Helen attack 1st Burma Brigade while 3 daitai of Zero (79 planes) with morale over 90 and experience levels of 79, 80, and 81 sit at Bangkok doing....[&:] [&:] However, Stuart's 21 Hurricane IIb are on CAP and shoot down 6 Sally.
3) A second unescorted attack comes in with 11 Ki-21 Sally and 2 Ki-49 Helen to attack the 2nd Burma Brigade and face 21 Hurricane IIb still on CAP. Thankfully, I lose only one sally, but am upset about the lack of Zero escorts.
4) While I am cursing under my breathe and ready to spit out morning coffee, the Japanese Deliberate attack takes place.

Note: The Combat Report shows the loss of 16 Hurricanes at Moulmein. However, the Air Loss table shows the loss of 32 Hurricanes. Which do I believe??
If the Air Loss table is to be believed, then he could be without two squadrons of fighters for over one year. A very good day if this happened.

I'm surprised the LB went in unescorted if there were Zero's stationed there, isn't there more chance LB will fly with escort than without ??

The Air Loss Table is what should be believed, it is correct 100% of the time. The numbers are the same in Tracker. He will have lost as you say, one or two sqds depending on the size of the sqd for a year. But if it is just a frag, which I don't believe in this case, then he's ok.

18 Jan 42 - Today would be a day when the Chinese I-16s do better than the Flying Tigers. [X(]

ASW/Subs: O-21 hits a MSW with 2 torpedoes and sinks her 120 miles due west of Kendari that was part of a 6 ship ASW TF. SS Triton misses an empty AK 60 miles SW of Truk returning from Rabaul. The 3 PC escorts fail to find the sub and the ASW TF in the hex run around in circles and miss the sub, again. In the evening Triton is attacked twice by the 2 ASW TF in the hex and none of the ships are able to find her.

China: The Air Force at Canton heads over to Wuchow. 27 A6M2 Zero (experience 80) escort 23 Ki-48 Lily and 4 Ki-15 Babs. The Chinese CAP of 10 I-16c rise up to shoot down 3 Zero for the lose of 7. [:(]

Borneo: Singkawang has 15 A6M2 Zero from Kuching on LRCAP take on 26 unescorted Martin 166 from Batavia. 3 Martins are shot down with the port getting 3 supply hits.

Philippines: The Luzon bases Air Force visit Manila. 7 A6M2 Zero escort in 6 G3M Nell, 26 Ki-21 Sally, 27 Ki-48 Lily, and 4 Ki-15 Babs. My LB get 6 damaged from flak and inflict 17 airbase hit total. The 16th Division at Naga is visited by 7 B-17D Fortress.

Burma: The two divisions at Moulmein get multiple visitors from Rangoon (6 Blenheim IV, 4 Wellington III, and 7 Curtis H81-3A), Akyab (6 Wellington III), Magwe (8 Blenheim IV), and Mandalay (3 Blenheim IV and 3 Wellington III). In response, I have moved a daitai of Zero from Bangkok to Tavoy to provided LRCAP for tomorrow. Meanwhile, in the PM air phase, Rangoon is hit hard by LBA from Bangkok. 71 A6M2 Zero escort in 74 Ki-21 Sally, 9 Ki-49 Helen, and 1 Ki-46-II Dinah and run into 19 Curtis H81-3A on CAP. I lose 1 Zero to 17 Flying Tigers!! Two bombers are destroyed on the ground and the airbase takes 27 total hits. Add this to yesterdays lose of two squadrons of Hurricanes (32 planes) and I think I can safely say the I now have air supremacy in Burma. [:)]

Celebes: The landings begin at Makassar with mini-KB providing support 60 miles off shore.

You need to knock down the aggressive level of the commanders of your IJA bombers.......that way they are more reluctant to fly without escort when CAP is around. Grab a air HQ and get it to Bangkok, that will increase the chance for things to go better ait wise.
