What an Amazing Game!

Post by Anthropoid »

Wow, what a terrific game. I really hate you guys. I'm supposed to be working hard, and instead I spent my weekend playing this beauty.

Couple observations (I'm playing as Germany on Recruit difficulty for me and Line for Alllied AI):

1) The AIs ability with honing in on my AT Guns _DOES_ exhibit laser-guided unerringness.

Admittedly my mortars also do a pretty good job at finding and destroying AT Guns (even without LOS), but the unrealism comes in when the very same mortar crew, with LOS has to pelter a squad of men with 10 or 15 shots just to kill two or three guys! Any chance the code for this stuff could be revisted once more?

2) Vehicles get stuck in minor areas too much it seems to me. I you have to command them to go forward--go backward--go sideways--go forward . . . finally it will move. Once had an AT Gun that would not move at all.

3) AT Guns move too slowly on slow speed. They move pretty slow even on fast speed, but they seem to be exceptionally slow on slow speed.

4) AI tanks seem pretty adept at finding small squads of men crawling toward them through the woods.

Now the thing that is not being said here is: the amazing number of features, game processes, etc., which are absolutely brilliant! For those four mild complaints I could (if i was not lazy) list at least 40 things about this game that I just love.

Great game!!
The x-ray is her siren song. My ship cannot resist her long. Nearer to my deadly goal. Until the black hole. Gains control...
