Last 100 days. Is your PC ready?

Post by Anendrue »

With 100 days to go. I have finally got my PC ready for the game. Unfortunately I am out of country and can not use it yet. [:(] However, I will use:

Quad Core Cpu
4GB RAM
Two 640MB 8800 GTS video cards
Monitor 1 is a 28" for the game
Monitors 2 and 3 are 20" widescreen rotated 90 degrees. These run on the second card and will be used for different screens the game has so the map stays basically clear and viewable.
5.1 xFi on GT5051 speakers (can't wait to hear the authentic clips from WWII).

What setups are y'all going to use to play?

I was planning on using my trusty abacus, with the quad beads and liquid cooled frame.

My PC :

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
4GB RAM DDR2-800
ATI PCIe X800GTO graphic card with 128mo.
Monitor 19" CRT
Altec speakers.
Windows XP SP3 32bits (why change?).

This PC runs Company of Heroes without problems, a somewhat graphical intensive game, I am sure it will run MWiF without issues.

I do a lot of video editing and have the power for that. While FPS's run great on my box. It is the PEBKAC (problem exists between keyboard and chair) issue here. I just can't translate what I see to what I should do fast enough. Civ IV and WiF is my speed. Thanks for the offer though. BTW when my sons families are home visiting - the first thing they do is attack my box to do FPS games.
