CD required/skipping intros

Post by jamesweb »

I've recently purchased SUDG and have been happy so far, BUT have found some things that annoyed me and wondered if there are ways around them?

1st is the intro movies. Is there anyway to turn them off/skip them? The 1st time is cool, but after that they are just annoying.

2nd is there a way around the requirement that the cd has to be in to play? I realize this is an anti-piracy feature, but just check on start-up, not after the game has started. I've had the game terminate unexpectedly during game play, which I suspect has to do with missing media, as it does not happen if I keep the CD in.

Thanks,
James

As for #1, just go into the Movies subfolder and either rename the .avi files or create a subfolder and move them to it. You can always use your multimedia player to play them again.

As for #2, I believe the copy protection system doesn't require the CD to be in during actual game play. Maybe others can help you here. Try reading some of the earlier posts.
