Isolated Bases

Post by IntellWeenie »

Is Kolombangara ever NOT isolated? I've noticed in a game that it has been Iso'ed ever since the US took it, even though now (mid-44) there are no Jap-held bases closer than Truk.

Once in a while Adelaide will show as iso'ed, too. That's not too much of a problem, but Kolombangara really hurts when cleaning up the Solomons.

I have seen it not isolated. There was a long runnig bug (don't know if it was ever fixed) where if a base got hit with carrier air strikes 2 turns in a row, then it would be "permanently isolated" I do not recall Kolombangara getti hit in my recent games, so it may not have triggerred the "beg" if it still exists, I also remember seeing something about this base suffering from an always isolated bug, like Aldelade in australia, I don't know if that was corrected either.
Still playing PacWar (but no so much anymore)...
